Exhibited at Barnard College, 2016
On November 22nd, 2016, Barnard V-Day Access|Ability and the PENDULUM collective, of which I was the Artistic Director, presented this exhibit at Barnard College, Columbia University.
P E N D U L U M is a multimedia sensory exhibit that immerses the viewer in the artists’ experiences of mental illness.
My vision for the project was to create a raw, inescapable experience that plunged into forgotten or painful memories. My vision for the project was to create a raw, inescapable experience that plunged into forgotten or painful memories. Understanding, discomfort, awe, confusion, sadness were among the strong emotions that viewers reported.
The exhibit included photography, a short film, a dance and performance art piece, a painting, information about bipolar disorder, as well as other materials.
All the materials presented at the November exhibit are available on the exhibition website, which I really encourage you to look at.
